History of the Township
The Township was laid out by A.J. Baker and Malcolm Gregory on March 14, 1871.
Current Township Members are:

Clerk: Ray Rinker

First Belvue Township:
On petition of citizens of St. Marys and Wamego Townships Sept. 4, 1871 the Board (County Commissioners) organized a new township out of parts of St.Marys and Wamego Townships. The new township was called "Belvue Township". The first officers elected in this township on April 2, 1872 were: Trustee--Matt Hanighan, Treasurer--James M. Shortt, and Clerk--J.G. Province.
